In the south of Japan, there is a mysterious island called Yakushima.
This small island is embraced by a magnificent natural landscape, exuding the essence of "life," an island that draws visitors in with its wonder. The old trees that have aged over thousands of years, standing strong throughout time, holding a sense of presence beyond reason, their forests punctuated only by the megalithes that appear suddenly in their midst with the atmosphere of ancient ruins from many years past.

What did ancient people feel about the power of nature?
I imagine that they must have spun their experiences into stories, transforming this existence that exceeds humanity's conception with innate creativity. Together with the reminder of humanity's everlasting relationship with nature, I feel an absolute and calming sense of awe, reverence, and gratitude for this natural phenomenon.

日本の南に屋久島という神秘的な島があります。
その島は壮大な自然風景に包まれ、「生きる」という本質を纏い、遥か悠久な時間感覚を感じる不思議と惹かれる島でした。

作品群はドローンで撮影をしました。それは、創造にあふれた古代の物語のように、自分が姿を変えて、鳥のように飛んでいる視点で見ることができ、魚のように空を泳ぐことができます。

想像のプロペラを廻して、空を泳ぎ、呼吸をしながら。

千年の時を越えて在り続けている木々を内包する地、理を越える存在感があります。古代の人々は自然に何を感じただろう？人智の及ばない感覚を創造力に変えて物語に紡いだのかもしれない、と思いを馳せます。悠久な時間と共に、ただただ、畏怖、畏敬、そして共にあることを静かに感じます。
